DESCRIPTION

The Brooks-Range Ultralite Mini Guide Tarp is an 60+ Sq. Ft., approximately 6.75 Ft. x 9 Ft. rectangular tarp made from ultralight water-resistant ripstop nylon. It is incredibly strong and resilient for its ultralight weight!

The Mini Guide Tarp is designed for 2 persons looking for a lightweight shelter, tent awning, wind shelter or gear storage shelter. At roughly 10 oz. it is light enough to take on all trips.

The Mini Guide Tarp has a seam down the center of the 9 Ft length. There is 1 weather-resistant anchored into a reinforced center patch and there are 16 lightweight grosgrain ribbon nylon loops sewn to the corners and at approximately 2+ Ft intervals along the edges. These loops facilitate a variety of set ups on trekking poles, off trees or onto tents.

Brooks-Range Ultralite Fabric:
The Brooks-Range ultralite fabric used is a specially designed for Brooks-Range ultralite products. This water-resistant ripstop nylon is incredibly strong and resilient for its ultralight weight! We believe our fabric is the lightest water-resistant available for this use. The Brooks-Range ultralite fabric has an impressive strength-to-weight ratio and ability to shear wind. The fabric's custom coating keeps the fabric waterproof to a pressure of 1 pound per sq inch (2 ft water pressure depth), which exceeds the pressure generated by a hard rainstorm. Due to the fabric's custom coating, it does not absorb water and the coating will not wash or peel off as it is impregnated into the nylon fabric. With use, the Brooks-Range ultralite fabric soften and become more pliable. Certain types of dry desert sand will stick. The Brooks-Range ultralite fabric is highly flammable, keep it clear of any direct flame and all heat sources.

Care and Maintenance Cleaning:
Hand wash with sponge, a mild non-detergent soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Do not dry clean, bleach, machine wash or machine dry.

Storing:
It is essential to dry a Brooks-Range ultralite fabric product before storage to avoid the irreversible consequences of mildew (mold growth). Store in a cool, dry place out of direct light once dried.

Packing:
Stuffing is quicker, but creases the fabric and creates a more bulky package. We recommend folding the tarp into a long strip the width of the stuff sack. Put a knee gently on one end and roll tightly towards you, brushing off any dirt.
