Place the pair of decals measuring 3 x 7 – inches each on the inside blade of your shovel, on your snowmobile or wherever they will provide handy access for training or during an emergency. Decals provide complete instructions in refresher format for Search Preparation, Single and Multiple search methodology and Tactics, the same graphics used on our Brooks-Range Backcountry Shovels.

Created as a result of customer requests, production of these decals was delayed until we could find the right product to bend around curves with minimal wrinkling, and tough enough to withstand the abuse of the outdoors. We've succeeded! One of our prototypes applied to the hood of a truck, is still stuck strong after a full year of winter rains and snow and summer sun.

The decals, diagrams with minimal writing, cover the three phases to an avalanche beacon search -- the Primary, Secondary and Pinpoint Searches. It is essential to practice all three to become effective with your transceiver. Time is the enemy of the buried avalanche victim – you have only minutes -- and the transceiver is the best tool for finding victims quickly enough to save a lives.
